OMMS BBQ

This year our BBQ will be held on Wednesday, August 11 from 5-8pm at the field...you definitely don't wanna miss it this year! This will be something very different!

At the end of every season, OMMS holds a BBQ for our players and their families to celebrate our soccer season. This is an exciting night for everyone and serves as an exciting way to celebrate the end of another great season!

We are fortunate to have some of our sponsors join us periodically and this year we are inviting our sponsors to come out and set up a table or booth to introduce their businesses to help return the support they have kindly showed us over the years. Please go out and visit with them, support our community and the businesses within it! Remember, without them our kids could not play soccer.

This year we are especially fortunate to have Play Soccer join us for our BBQ. Play Soccer attends events all over the province on an application basis. This year OMMS was chosen as one of the tour locations! This is something new to us this year and because of the application process may not be something that will happen again for awhile making the BBQ and event you don't want to miss!

There will be a McDonald's Speed Kick zone, a Rogers Play with the Pros zone and much more! For more in depth look at their program, please visit www.playsoccer.ca.

We will also have a couple of inflatables for the younger children to play on, and will be visted by some Star Wars Characters and even a couple of Ghostbusters will be on site! The fire department will eb there with their trucks (unless an emergency occurs) and police cars join us where possible....and much more! The BBQ is free for the players and their coaches, be sure to wear your jersey's!

This is all included in the registration price for the children and we all look forward to it. Tickets for additional hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for purchase 2 weeks prior to avoid the lines!

Volunteers are always needed for this occasion and this year especially Play Soccer is in need of 7-10 high school aged volunteers to assist with the soccer skill zones...We will also need peoiple willing to serve food and just generally pitch in where nbeeded.
